Yall miss me?!

I hope yall doin good! I've been chillin out here in this hotttttt weather! The last week in ward Acariquara was hard! We had 2 baptisms for the last Sunday and they both fell. The one guy didn't show and the other we had all ready but we didn't tell the leader of the primary( we were baptizing a 10 year old) and she got all sassy saying we aren't gonna have it cause she didn't prepare anything.🙄 I had to say bye to that awesome house with some chill roommates. But não I'm in a house with 2 Brazilians and an American. They are really chill so it will be a good transfer. I got transferred last week. I am now in ward manoa with Elder Nobre. We have 4 people in our area because it's HUGE! I think it's an hour and a half walk from one side to the other side!!! But yeah we did some good work this past week. We set 4 dates(should have been 7 but 3 said they needed to think about it) and we invited them and about 20 people to go to church and 1 person came! But that's cause his girl is a member. But it's good he went. Our baptism fell for yesterday sadly 😥. We went to her house to bring her to church and no one answered the door or their phones. So that was sad. But we have a couple that is getting married so we are gonna baptise her husband!🎉 This ward is super chill so far so that's good. I ain't got much more. If yall wanna talk hit up my email and we can message. Until next time(probably the next month haha).

I'm back

Hey yall! Sorry it's been a minute. I've been super busy(lazy). I am gonna start with a baptism we had. It was with this girl named Emilly. And Emilly is an elect. She was awesome to teach and to get to know. She already followed all the commandments! She picked everything up really fast. And last if she didn't go to church she would say that she misses the Church. It was awesome! I know she is gonna stay strong in the Church. That's our baptism from last week. And we have one more this coming week. We are teaching this mom and her son. We are gonna baptise the son cause the mom isn't married yet. But she knew her other baptism she had was invalid. And she wants to be baptized too. But she needs to get married first. But they are an awesome family with this cute black dog called white hahaha. But in a Brazilian accent. I am going on my 6th transfer next month. I have roughly 8 months on my mission. It's crazy how fast it is going. Me and my comp have been just straight chillin. We get along very well. He is prolly my favorite Comp up to this point. And I am definitely gonna go visit him and watch one of his soccer games. This mission has really been good for my mental health and spiritual health. I can't say that it's good for my physical health. I have gotten a little chubbier in the stomach and all this sweating and walking isn't helping. Our theme right now with our president is the scripture ether 12:12. It's been bothering me how much they talk about it, but it's a great scripture. I like the whole chapter of 12. It's just a great scripture about faith and that you need faith. I invite yall to read it and study it. Apply it to your lives right now. See how you can have more faith in something in your life right now. Aight I'm out here's my Google photos and I'll catch yall on the other side of the jungle!

É pday pó, cala-boca

Itsssss pday and transfers!!!!!

Last week was not good but we confirmed baps for this Sunday. We have possibly 4 baps probably only 2 tho.

The week was chill since my comps leaving we talked to all our possible baps and talk to some people he wanted to talk to before he left.
So about our baptisms we have been teaching this one family the whole transfer and her 2 kids went to church now we just need her and her other 3 kids to go to church. We will baptize the 2 kids that went to church prollythis Sunday and hopefully the mom will come to church. They have been taught everything just need water.
The other baptism we are gonna have is this girl from an ice-cream shop we started talking to. She seemed really interested and never has been baptized which is rare here. She is super cool very receptive and follows all the commandments already. She also brought a friend to church yesterday sooo another bapppyyy.
I'm excited for this next transfer it is gonna be awesome. My new comp is a professional soccer player. And he looks huge like he would playfootball. But he is super chill and ready to baptize whoever.
That's pretty much it Nottingham crazy happ3ned this past week.

Imma be an old fart 22
Time is flyinnngggg

It finally happened 🔫

Hey call its been a couple weeks kkkkk. What's good, what's popping. These last 2 weeks have been not hard but hard. We have been trying to make a new teaching group, and we kinda did. We have like 3 new people or families that we are teaching now. It's good but we need more. We had no one go to church last week ðŸ˜¢. But we have made some new people that have a lot of potential to get baptized! We should be getting 5 or so the next 2 weeks!!!

There's not toooo much to say about these past 2 weeks.
To explain the title. I finally got robbed. And I know it's bad and I shouldn't say that but yeah he took our phones but that's it so that was good. He also had a gun that I know was fake. He was rushing us and I just sad there and stared at him with confusion. I thought about just decking him and taking the gun and the phones and running. That would have been a bad idea kkkkk. I would have done that if he took my wallet as well but it was just the phones.

I don't got a scripture but I have a Lil some to say about, actually Mathew 6:24 I don't remember if I gave this one already but with the situation here is some stuff.
It talks about not serving 2 master, I put that in the 2 categories. Celestial things and earthly things. We got robbed and he took our phones. We weren't really scared caus3 it was just a phone and we continued our work after. But when Satan attacks us in our darkest times it is one of the scariest and hardest things to fight. Even if your at your best and he attacks it is still hard. Always remember to look towards God and think Celestial and what outcomes with be better in the span of eternal life then make the decision.

That's all good bye ðŸ‘‹

Im backkk but the water wasnt in time!

Pipas

Whats good yall i havent emailed in 3 weeks ish kkkkkk

Aight i got trasfered! No more Êxodo. It was good there just not a lot of progress. Now im in Acariquara. Its pretty clos probably a 20 minute drive. One of the down sides is we live 30 minutes walking from the area. My comp is a american from texas. He is really cool and chill. His name is elder liljenquest. Its fun seeing if the brazilians can say his name.

Its a great area, the members are super chill and there is a big supermarket. We have found some people to teach and we are pretty busy during the day. We make about 8 new people a weak. The goal is 15 but 8 is pretty good for most areas. We have made 5 dates for baptisms so far. I think they are all gonna be baptised. Its a really cool family and we have been teaching them since i got here.

WE HAVE AGUA, so by the title the water wasnt back in time. Our water in our chapel was was turned of and all the water to the church was gone. We had 3 hours until the baptism!!🫣
We tryed to fill the font as much as week could but the water kept shutting off. We ended up calling everyone we could think of, bispo, and other leaders. But no help. We decided to call presidente França, how mission president. He goes where is the closest chapel. Go there imma call the bishop there. We called the missionaries there to see if they would fill it up while we ubered over there. End the end we had water and she was baptised.

I bought 3 pipas or kites here in brazil and started learninh how to fly them. The fun thing is you learn how to turn and steer them to cut other peoples pipas!!! Its a lot of fun!

We have a lot of progress here and its making the the work more fun and enjoyable.

What can we look forward to after death?
Alma 40: 21
21 But whether it be at his resurrection or after, I do not say; but this much I say, that there is a space between death and the resurrection of the body, and a state of the soul in happiness or in misery until the time which is appointed of God that the dead shall come forth, and be reunited, both soul and body, and be brought to stand before God, and be judged according to their works.

I know that we can look forward to a never ending state of happiness. As long as we keep his commandments and covenants we can receive this blessing. I know our ancestors are waiting for us to reunite with them and live a life full of endless happiness. I invite you all to go into family search and learn about your past a little. Get to know your family more. You will find something you never have seen before i know it.

Yall have a good one and yall wanna email me during the week do so. I love reading ehat people semd me throught the week.

I miss cars lol

 Bom dia.

This transfer has been rough. Not a lot of progress with people. No one has gone to church. We have 2 baptisms next week so that's a good thing. But yeah it's been a slow transfer for sure.

We have not had a lunch in a members house for a while. The only times we get lunch with members is saturday and Sunday. We usually go to a restaurant of a irmã. It's always good and slaps everytime.

We had a date for yesterday but it fell through cause he didn't show up to church.😢 He is tough he has the mindset that it's gonna be hard and difficult to commit to baptism. Gave our testimonies. But that's about all we can do it's his decision. But he is smart and knows his stuff just needs to commit.

We have had to cut a lot of people that were soooo close to baptisms but just not committing all the way. It's sad .

But I'm looking forward to the next transfer which is in 1 week. New area and a fresh start.

That's pretty much it nothing tooo crazy has gone down here, except that someone threw a bunch of tiny bombs, basically one explosion fireworks right outside our apartment. It was strange.

But yeah ill catch you next week with an update if I leave or stay.
Pls feel free to email me whenever yall feel like it. i want to read them during the week.

John 11 35
Jesus wept.
I have actually been looking into this verse a lot. It has a lot of diff erent meanings. Basically the spirit will tell you what you need to hear. I invite you to read this verse ponder and pray about it. Apply this verse to your life right now.

Tá bom tchau!

P.S.

I should have put this but i had a bomb division with my boi Elder Treese.
I went to his area but i was senior cause I had the chip haha treese get rekted. Nah it was chill made cookies at lunch. Had 1 lesson and contacted 6 people. Hopefully they baptize with one girl that was super nice to us and receptive. She was really helpful when I needed a word or two to finish my sentences. Kkkkk. But we ended the day by getting a terere cup for me and some acai. It was a nice break where we spoke almost the whole time in english kkkkk.

Tchau!

It's coming along

I know yall probably think I got eating by a anaconda or sum. I haven't email in like 3 weeks kkkkkk. I'll give you a run down. There has not been to much crazy stuff going on here.

2 weeks ago we had exchanges with the lzs ou zls zone leaders for 2 days. It was chill got to see how the area with a crap ton of hills is like. And there are A LOT.

This past week has been some more things. We have been trying to get that guy jaime baptized. He had a problem in the past so we have to get a interview with the president of the mission. But the president has not really been helpful . So haven't baptized him in the past 2 weeks. Other things that happened are the Bishop's daughter came home from her mission. She was cool got to chat with her. She knows sister Kaufusi!!! She had served with her so that was cool to see how she was doing. Also this week we(my comp) have been trying to clean the area from just people that don't respond or not interested. Which is cool but just leaves us with nothing to do later on because we don't get many media references here. It's been chill we just call them once or twice and they answer and hang up kr don't answer we cut them from the app. I've starting getting tired of my comp. He cool as a person and he is very spiritual. But when it comes to missionary work he is hard headed. His way or no way type deal. Not all the way no way but close enough. I've been here for 2 transfers now I have talked to probably 50% of this area and it's a big area. And he just doesn't listen sometimes. But it's cool at the end of the night we are always laughing and making jokes so it's gonna be fine.

We got sushi AGIAN!!!!!!. Uggghhh I miss a good roll from China buffet or that one spot on tate Street🤤😭. But sushi is always good and I'll take what I can get when I can get it. But I will say they put cream cheese in every roll and it gets annoying.🙄 still good tho I don't complain about food often. You can see the blury pics on my Google photos(if I kick you it's cause it's a rule just join back)
Yo shout-out to my boy Elder kongaika real quick the tie you gave me the bead one. I've been getting so many snakes with it dawg. Mom I'm kidding(not). Nah everyone in church is always like oooo muito legal(cool) so thanks for the tie my homie. See you back at the better byu(Hawaii).

Jacob 6,  4 and 5
4 And how merciful is our God unto us, for he remembereth the house of Israel, both roots and branches; and he stretches forth his hands unto them all the day long; and they are a stiffnecked and a gainsaying people; but as many as will not harden their hearts shall be saved in the kingdom of God.
5 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I beseech of you in words of soberness that ye would repent, and come with full purpose of heart, and cleave unto God as he cleaveth unto you. And while his arm of mercy is extended towards you in the light of the day, harden not your hearts.

It's not my job to tell you what it means it means something different to everyone. I invite you as a missionary to read and ponder this scripture and apply it to your life and situations and pray about it.
I know if you repent without full intent you can't be free from what your problem was. But if you soften your heart and let God in and repent and live your life with all your heart. You will be free from your bandage, and be free from bandage in the last day. I say these things in the name of Jesus christ amen.

Imma go back to sleep now boa noite!

Yall miss me?!

I hope yall doin good! I've been chillin out here in this hotttttt weather! The last week in ward Acariquara was hard! We had 2 baptis...
