First transfer done!

Sad to leave my first área, but excited to walk some stairs and hills😵‍💫. I am now with Elder Violante! He is from Portugal!! He talks a lot different them everyone else I have talked with so far. But I can kinda understand him which is veryyyy good. Still can't understand specifically what people say but I can get the general idea of what they say. I have met some pretty cool members while out tracking. And had some pretty good food as well.

First day walking was a nice chill day. Went and talked with a couple poeple Violante had been teaching before. Then went to a members house and stayed there for a couple hours talking and learning more about the area and the people. They made some spaghetti and sausage. It was good!
The next day we had zone conference! I got to see carver and treese and ames!! It was awsome to see them and how they have grown in the launguage. We had some good eats and chilled for a little before going back to the house.

I finally ate tambaqui!!! It's a very popular fish in Amazonas, and it was reaallyyy good!! Also had some bomb brownies she has for her Market she owns. We tried contacting more people but it's hard cause no one is ever home or they don't wanna hear nothing.

Sunday was a great day! I forgot my tag!!! Só we asked a memeber if he could drive us back to the house to get it. So the day started of shaky. But when we got back one of the people Violante is trying to get baptized came to church!! He seemed very interested in all of the church aspects. Sadly he didn't stay for second hour and had to go home. But it's cool to see poeple that we are teaching come to church.
After church we ate at a members house and had liquid açaí. It was really good. We went to some people's house but they weren't home sadly. We went to a street with about 3 house and went to clapping.( we clap and knock but it's normal to clap here). The last house that was on the street we were looking for this lady that had been taught a few months back. She wasn't there but her sister and dad were. We had a nice message with them and she had a lot to ask and say. We don't know if it will go any further but it was a great lesson in my opinion.
Really not much to say it has been a tiring week with cleaning the old house and transfers.
PS. Yep Robert it's a rough time in these streets. I feel full as crap EVERYDAY but the food is sooooo good.

OHHH I forgot to mention about the first meal I had. I finally have had lasagna here. It was at a irmãs house that is also a lunch restaurant. Ohhhh my goodness it was soooooo good. I wanna go back but it's only open for lunch, and we are booked until I leave.😢

The crib is pretty nice. Violante worked really hard to clean it(it was really bad when he came to this area). It's definitely a lot cooler than the other house. The other house in itacoatiara was a sauna!

Remember God is always with you just pray. I never put anything spiritual spiritual on here. But talk to people you wouldn't think to talk to before. Could be on the street or a friend. Just talk.

Imma take a nap now goodnight!

I had a feeling I was gonna stay but I'm hitting the road.

To start the week it was pretty good chilled, and ate some churrasco and ice cream!!!. But Wednesday was awesome to start we did some work had good food then that night we went and ate pizza with my boi Nicolas!!! It was good. But then to the bad part. That night I woke up with a 102.2 fever and I was shaaaaking. It sucked I was like this for the day and that night. Nicolas brought me stuff and I was sooo grateful for that. But I sleeeept all day. I'm still a little sick rn so it hasn't fully left me. I had a killer headache Friday and Saturday. I have woke up every night either sweating or shaking.

But guess what I did!!!! Baptized!!!!! And I gave the blessing for the receiving of the Holy Ghost!! In português!!! Very bad português but it was português none the less. I was sooo scared. But I felt calm after I got the parts he was telling me in my ear. I had a lot of faith in the Lord to help what to say.

But yeah it's sad to leave everyone I have taught. Also sad to leave my comp,he has been awesome. He has been hard on me but it is good for me.
Time for a new area and new people to teach and get to know.
It kinda sucks cause I could have been some where else but I need to be near a hospital to help me so it's all good.

But for the first transfer it was good. I had a lot of fun with Elder Moraes, and ate some good food. Living with 3 Brazilians had it's ups and downs but still fun 😁.

That's really all I got yall. Hope yall have a great week and I'll talk to yall next week!!

1 week till transfers!!!!

20250509_152056.jpg

I'm sad that this is my last week here😭😭. But I have had a great time here in itacoatiara! A lot of ups and downs and highs and lows. This week was tired week. We have been having good contacts and lesson for the most part, but we have just been exhausted. We have cut another couple people because one of them weren't that interested, and the other person she never answers and is going to a different church.

But we had a fireeeee pday last week. We walked around for hours just eating and messing around. It was awesome!!!! But the weeks have been moving soooo fast, and I don't remember some of the things that happened this week. Foods been always really good. But yesterday I ate so much me and my comp played at the church for a couple hours. Haha my stomach felt like it was gonna explode.

I was soooo happy yesterday, because someone we have been teaching finally came to church!! He was worried about his clothing and he had work. We were so happy that him and his family came. And we are gonna baptize him and his 2 daughters this week if he still wants to. There was a Lil incident with one of his younger boys. He was crying like crazy but I mean he's a Lil kid it happens. We were tryna help but it was hard, but we had a really good talk with diego and showed him pictures that are in the church. But yeah he had a great time he said.

At the Benning of the week we had a Lil problem in the house but we all worked it out. It sucked tho cause it was effecting me and my comps attitude not with people but just chilling in the street. But we got it all handled and we chilling now.

Yeah I ain't got much to say this week but it's been awesome. I'm sad to leave my area but excited to start a new in a new area!!😭🤪

Almost week 4😮

I cant believe its already been almsot 4 weeks. I don't know if it's like that for everyone on the mission now but holllyyyy it's been flying. I am having so much fun with my comp. I scared to get a bad comp and how that's gonna be.

This week had it's ups and downs. Lunches are alwaaayyysss good. I'm full for the rest of the day. And I feel fat. Elder kongaika you will walk a lot, but you will also eat A LOT.

I lost all my vlogs on my camera camera, And I am sooooo sad. There was some good videos on there. I also was a little sick either Friday or Thursday I can't remember. I know It's cause I need to eat more salada and frutas so I have been. But I also had a Lil headache as well. Another sad thing is we were gonna baptize Gustavo and edurda but they are still not ready. And felipe and Bruno still haven't prayed about what we had said, also Felipe is prolly still smoking.

For the good things. I lovvveee egg salad sandwiches here. They are burgers with lettuce tomato and egg on a roll type bread. It is a small burger patty so it's nice mix of all. We have had some great lessons and contacts with people. We got 14 new people that we taught. It's been raining a lot and I love it. Rain is the best cause it's cool and it feels nice.

On a real note it's hard to feel the spirit with português. I still do but it's just softer cause I don't understand a lot of português.  But I had some times I did and it felt amazing. I always feel it with english or depends on the situation I feel sad or feel happy but with understanding the language it's harder for me.

I have seen a change in my understanding of português. I can understand a lot more and talk a little more. I have been trying to talk less and just listen and figure our what people are saying. I take the words I know and kinda put the words together. Talking has slowed down a lot but I'll take understanding any day of the week.

I hope yall have a good week! I know I will! And I'll catch yall in the next email!

Yall miss me?!

I hope yall doin good! I've been chillin out here in this hotttttt weather! The last week in ward Acariquara was hard! We had 2 baptis...
